1) Seniors
Central Nova is a multigenerational church with a rich heritage. Our seniors are a valued part of our church family, and this group of individuals, aged 50 and up, continue to be actively involved in church ministry in many ways.
2) Central Nova Kids
We aim to be more than just the norm. We are endeavoring to empower our kids to lead Christ-filled lives; to teach and release a new generation of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
What we offer:
Sunday Morning Nursery (For ages 0 – 3): When dropping your little ones off in nursery you can attend service knowing and assured that your kids are being loved and cared for in the most secure and fun environment. (10:30 am)
Sunday "Faith Kids Inn" (FKI) (For ages 4-11): While the adults worship in their service upstairs, the kids develop their faith in a fun environment downstairs. (11:00 am - after the singing portion of the main service)
Wednesday J.A.M. Sessions (For ages 5-12): Our program plays host to large group and small group activities, great music & fun games along with a curriculum that focuses on biblical truths & life applications. Our goal is to facilitate and support your child’s spiritual growth and knowledge of Jesus. (6:30 - 8:00 pm)
3) Young Adults
Young Adults at Central Nova meet once per month. It is an open group filled with people interested in becoming fully-devoted Christ followers. You can expect to learn more about God's Word, with plenty of time for conversation, fellowship and food in a relaxed setting.
4) Missions
Central Nova believes that missions, both local and global, is a vital and important ministry. We regularly support 4 international missionaries; 1 church plant in Sydney, Nova Scotia and a trade school in Nicaragua.
There was a team from our church that went to Nicaragua recently (September 19-26) to help a local church plant with a building project; spent a day at an orphanage doing maintenance tasks; and had an opportunity to participate in Sunday services at the church plant via preaching, teaching classes, singing, and sharing testimonies. We also purchased and gave away sound equipment, school supplies, clothing, Bibles and other items as opportunity arose.
Last year, we sent a team to Sydney, NS to work alongside a local church plant. This was both a blessing to them and to us.
Central Nova is also involved in Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse - last year giving away approximately 70 shoe boxes.
Besides our own church mission work, there are a number of people in our church who are connected to Jamerican Missions - travelling to countries spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.
